The Desire Reset | A 6-session psychosexual group for women
Sex shouldn’t be a chore.
If sex has started to feel like just another item on the to-do list - or worse, a source of dread - you aren’t alone. Many of us find ourselves "wanting to want," stuck in a cycle of low libido and lost connection. I’ve designed The Desire Reset specifically for women (and AFAB individuals) who are ready to stop feeling "broken" and start rediscovering their erotic spark. Whether you’re partnered, single, LGBTQ+, or navigating the complexities of cultural expectations, this is a structured, inclusive, and deeply supportive space to peel back the layers of "duty" and find a sexual expression that actually feels like yours.

Is this group for me?
This group is designed for you if:
You "want to want," but the spark just isn’t there. You miss feeling desire, but right now, the thought of sex feels more like a chore or a "to-do" than a pleasure.
Sex has started to feel like a duty or a dread. You might find yourself making excuses to avoid intimacy because it feels like a performance you just don’t have the energy for.
You feel "broken" or alone in your low libido. You’re looking for a safe space to realize that your lack of desire isn't a personal failure—it’s something many women (and AFAB individuals) navigate.
You’re ready to move beyond the "roommate phase." Whether you're single or partnered, you want to jumpstart your erotic life and find a truer, more authentic sexual expression.
You value a structured, expert-led approach. You’re looking for more than just a chat; you want a proven programme led by a certified professional who understands the deep psychology of desire.
You want to be part of a like-minded community. You’re ready to share and learn within a small, confidential group of six people where every voice is heard.
Meet your guide: Lu Cook
I’m a certified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist and the founder of After Inlove. Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of people navigate the messy, often silent gaps where desire used to be.
I don’t believe in "broken" libidos or quick-fix tricks. Instead, I work with the deep, psychological roots of why we stop wanting - and how we can start wanting again. My approach is clinical yet deeply human; I’ve seen firsthand how transformative it is when women realize they aren't alone in feeling "stuck." I created this group to bring that expertise into a shared space, helping you move past the dread and duty to find a sexual voice that finally feels like your own.
What to expect.
We won't just be "talking about sex"; we’ll be dismantling the myths that keep us stuck and rebuilding a toolkit that actually works for your life. Over our 12 weeks together, we will dive into:
Deconstructing libido: What is it, really? We’ll strip away the societal "shoulds" and clinical labels to understand why your desire might have gone into hibernation.
Mapping your unique response: There is no "normal." You’ll learn exactly how your sexual response system works - and how to stop fighting against it and start working with it.
The pressure-free reawakening: We’ll explore gentle, safe ways to reconnect with intimacy - first with yourself, and then (if you choose) with a partner - without the "duty" or the dread.
Finding your "want": We’ll get clear on what you actually desire (not what you think you should want) and practice the language to go out and get it.
Expanding the menu: We’re going to blow the lid off narrow definitions of "sex." You’ll discover how to expand your erotic world and open up new ways to give and receive pleasure.
A shared journey: Most importantly, you’ll do this alongside five other women who "get it," in a space where nothing is TMI and every breakthrough is celebrated.

Only as much as you want to. While this is a collaborative group, there is never any pressure to disclose details that feel too private. You can participate in the exercises and discussions at a pace that feels safe for you.
-
That’s completely normal—in fact, most women feel that way before the first session. My job as a therapist is to hold a space that feels grounded, professional, and surprisingly relaxed. Usually, within the first thirty minutes, the "awkwardness" dissolves as you realise everyone else is in the same boat.
-
Not at all. This group is for anyone (women or AFAB) who wants to reconnect with their own desire. Whether you are single, dating, or have been married for twenty years, the focus is on your relationship with your sexual self.

Because we work through a structured programme where each week builds on the last, I encourage everyone to commit to all six dates. However, life happens - if you have to miss one, I’ll make sure you have the key takeaways so you don’t feel left behind.

While I am a Certified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, it’s helpful to think of this group more as a structured psychosexual coaching programme rather than traditional group therapy.
In a standard therapy session, we often spend a lot of time looking backward at the "why." In this group, we focus on the "how." It is a psycho-educational journey designed to give you a framework, fresh perspectives, and practical tools to jumpstart your erotic life.
How it works with other support:
As a Standalone: This programme is robust enough to stand on its own as a deep dive into sexual self-discovery.
Alongside 1-to-1 or Couple Therapy: It works brilliantly as a companion to therapy. While your therapy sessions might handle the broader emotional heavy lifting, this group provides the specific, targeted focus on desire and pleasure.
Note: This is an educational and supportive coaching space. If you are currently navigating acute trauma or a crisis, we can discuss during our 10-minute call whether this group or 1-to-1 therapy is the best starting point for you.
How to Join
To ensure the group dynamic is supportive and effective for everyone, I personally speak with every participant before we begin.

The "fit" call: I’ll email you to schedule a brief, 10-minute chat to make sure the programme aligns with what you’re looking for.
Secure your spot: Once we’ve chatted, you’ll receive a link to book and pay for your place.
Spaces are strictly limited to 6 women/AFAB individuals to maintain the quality of the experience.
